2017 Indian Ride Command System
Indian has proven once again that they are “not just entering the game, but changing it completely.” Forever ahead of the pack, the company redefines premium with the introduction of its innovative industry-leading Ride Command System. The system is available on the company’s two flagship models, the 2017 Chieftain and 2017 Roadmaster. It is the most advanced motorcycle technology available. And now, standard equipment on two of the company’s the most advanced bikes.
Innovative Design
Simply put, it is the largest multisystem touchscreen command center available on two wheels. Measuring in at 7 inches, it offers a bright, high-resolution screen. It is conveniently located, making it easy to reach and read. The highly intuitive system provides maps and navigation, a clock, ambient temperature, vehicle information like tire pressure and fuel range, trip information, Bluetooth pairing, music, and so much more. And, thanks to the advanced design you can quickly access what you need, gloves on or off.
User Friendly
The infotainment system is incredibly intuitive and easy to use by the technologically savvy and amateur. Users can split the screen, allowing for simultaneous information feedback. Using two fingers to spread or pinch, you can enlarge or shrink the screen. In addition, you can access function on or off the screen. The system offers text alerts, but for safety does not allow for text viewing or responding. The system boasts the fastest boot time and is up and running in about 10 seconds. Indian Motorcycle masterfully fuses state-of-the-art technologies with remarkable styling.
Hands Free
For the ultimate in safety, riders can also interact with the system without taking a hand off the bars. The design offers handlebar-mounted controls for when a situation does not allow for using the touch screen. Ride Command also has several media connectivity options, both wired and wireless. USB flash drive enables riders to upload songs onto portable storage and play through a premium audio system. As a result of Indian innovation, riders with systems in their helmets can connect and listen through Bluetooth both from Ride Command or smartphone. Therefore, it easily pairs with compatible phones and headsets.
